Thanksgiving Family Day
Donations
On Thanksgiving Day, a full belly nourishes the body and the soul. A day we wish guaranteed happiness for everyone rather than the other days when we are only guaranteed the right to pursue happiness.
Crowd Proud does not provide goods, special favors, or services in exchange for any donation. Thanksgiving is a time, when those of us who can, to take a deep breath and put the world on pause. Older generations share stories and wisdom with younger generations as they reminisce and romanticize the good old days, even if most of those old days weren’t always so good. Thanksgiving Day with family, friends, neighbors, community, traditions, conversations, and even politics is always remembered fondly as one of those good old days.
All of us at Crowd Proud believe that on Thanksgiving Day a full belly nourishes the body and the soul. A day we wish guaranteed happiness for everyone rather than the other days when we are only guaranteed the right to pursue happiness.
One of the organization’s goals is to assist others with learning to do for themselves and to become self-sufficient individuals and families who can give back and strengthen communities. While this is different for every person, child, and family, we know and often see that partaking in the Thanksgiving holiday can be an extra financial and emotional burden for some rather than a celebration of kindness and togetherness. We also have a special fondness for our military veterans who have served to protect us.
A hotel in Luzerne County has already donated the use of its facilities for this year’s Thanksgiving Day event. As a business in Luzerne County and surrounding areas, you already understand the importance of this holiday and the strengthening of communities.
Can we count on your support as we reintroduce, after a two-year pause, Crowd Proud’s Thanksgiving Family Day celebration?
